Cascabel Ebonlore pushed his way through the crowds of Inevitable City with the look of disdain on his face. The Black Orc, Axem, had reached out to him personally, probably, at the urging of Mistic the female zealot, who had taken to the Greenskin, almost to the point of servitude. Cascabel had a staunch sense of where his priorities lay and they definitely did not include heeding the orders of that which was formerly a fungus.

He did have to admit, however, that this Orc was an anomaly. Uncommon for an Orc, his deeds in Kadrin Valley demonstrated the capacity for logical and reasoned forethought. His heroics had been acknowledged throughout Inevitable City and some whispered rumors that he may have been one of the former Black Orc bodyguards of Grimgor Ironhide known as Da Immortulz. That, however, in the eyes of Cascabel, was irrelevant. He recalled their conversation and played it back over again as he ascended the path towards the Viper Pit.

?Oi! Ooman! Lissen good,? bellowed Axem as the zealot approached. He then slouched and raised both hands to his enormous skull as though in excruciating pain. Mistic?s eyes shifted back and forth between Axem and Cascabel during what seemed like years of silence. She appeared uneasy as Cascabel raised his eyebrow and replied, ?Mind your tone, Black Orc. Why have you summoned me?? Axem grimaced in pain and crouched even further, gnashing his teeth in agony.

Mistic spoke on his behalf. ?You must pardon, my associate. He is...uh...undergoing some changes that we are still struggling to understand. Suffice to say that we have determined you are the one we seek to further our aims.?

?Don?t toy with me, woman. You call upon me for an audience and I granted it based solely on the fact that we both are servants of Tzeentch. Why is it that I suspect you are serving more than the God of Change. Judging by the company you keep, I am beginning to suspect that you are more likely a servant of Malal. Did I note correctly that you have etched the number 11 in that focus you attempt to hide behind your back??

?Perceptive, Cascabel. I admit my heritage as a Doomed One and acknowledge Malal as my patron. However, we are not here to discuss The Renegade. We require your assistance and your recompense will be commensurate with your effort. I speak of the Army of Ebonlore." She paused here before continuing. "Your silence indicates that I have attained your interest. We offer you a seat on the Inner Council. You will be charged with increasing our numbers and recruitment of not only Greenskins but the Druchii as well.?

?This Age of Reckoning makes for strange bedfellows, woman.? Cascabel looked down as he thumbed his blade, satisfied that his time had not been wasted. He then approached within centimeters of Mistic?s face and whispered, ?I accept your offer simply for the fact that my curiosity is piqued. What is it you require??

Cascabel glanced at the Chosen guards posted outside the Viper Pit. This place was notorious for the incessant bickering amongst the various guilds who were united only in their acknowledgment of the Order as a common enemy. That recognition, however, did not preclude the use of treachery, subterfuge or bloodshed. As he leaned his weight into the massive entrance door, Cascabel perceived the tell-tale shimmering outline of a Witch-Elf immediately behind him. ?Be not alarmed, zealot. I mean you no harm. I am Triffle, Guild Leader of Seven. My spies inform me that it is you who I must speak with regarding a matter of no small concern.?

Navigating these corridors of power was to be precarious, indeed...

Great writing, surely is beautiful -

Few, and radical exceptions -

"orders of that which was formerly a fungus." - Greenskin are still fungi, they're growth is reliant on it.

"the Army of Ebonlore." - I think the "Banner of Ebonlore" may be more commonplace. Of-course the whole meaning of "Banner" has been deteriorated by Mythic by inter-meshing races and what not.

Other than that, really hot. Keep at it~

---- Let us keep in mind that Axem is undeniably a War-Boss...

His size should be noted.
