?Before you address those inside the Viper Pit, I would ask to confer with you regarding SEVEN. We do not carry the end strength that follows the banner of Ebonlore. However, we wish to swear fealty and propose an alliance that would further both our aims,? the Witch-Elf whispered.

?There is no incentive for us to ally ourselves with those incapable of standing alone,? Cascabel replied. ?Ebonlore is intent on raising an army capable of enforcing its will upon the realm of Order. Should you choose to be a part of that...and display the strength and guile we require, I would consider your induction into our ranks. If not, stand aside, for I have more pressing matters to contend with.?

And indeed he did. He passed through the corridor and into the inner chamber of the Viper Pit with much preying on his mind. There were many factions that claimed to fight for the cause of Destruction. His experience, though, had taught him the vast majority only sought to further their own personal agendas. The true power of Chaos, and by extension Destruction, lay in the Changer of Ways. Cascabel knew to the depths of his soul that the Great Conspirator had thrust him into this new role and he savored the opportunity that had been presented.

This gathering of so-called leaders of Men, Greenskins and Dark Elves ceased with their conversations, amicable or otherwise, once they recognized the guild insignia emblazoned on Cascabel?s cloak.

?Hail, mighty Cascabel! Your face does not escape me. Neither does the insignia you bear upon your cloak. I see you have taken up arms with the likes of Ebonlore. Are you aware of the true nature of the fetid Orc they claim as their leader?? Even the renown merchants could not help but look up from their negotiations at this insult. The silence was deafening. The speaker was Veii, of the banner of All or Nothing, presumably a reference to their defeatist mindset upon the battlefield. A zealot much like Cascabel, yet very different all the same.

?With the sarcasm and envy spewing from your mouth, am I to understand that my words will fall upon deaf ears before they are measured for truth and validity?? Cascabel retorted.

?Nay, Cascabel! Although, we are already aware of your intentions to gather more minions under your banner. That much is clear. Though you should know, All or Nothing and our alliance, the Roughriders of Ruin, will have no part in your dealings. You and your forces have chosen a path from which there is no return. There is evidence that you are in league with Slaanesh and your forces have raised your banner in the service of perversion and pleasure.?

?Stay your tongue, Veii. You speak out of turn and are truly out of touch with who it is we truly serve.? Cascabel then addressed the rest of the gathering that included errant warriors as well as members of the Undead Lords and Eximos.

?Khorne, though ample in strength, is both crude and brash. Slaanesh is easily averted by the strong-willed. Nurgle is too conspicuous to be a threat. It is Tzeentch alone that embodies the subtlety and cunning to destroy Order. It is from him that power will flow like freshly tapped blood.? Cascabel had achieved his goal and now held the host in front of him engrossed.

It was Veii who interrupted. ?Spare us your theological rhetoric. We are here to discuss the sacking of Altdorf and care not for your characterization of the Gods. Your deeds speak volumes and exhibit no sign of honor on the battlefield. It has been reported you seek to take any advantage in war that is available at the cost of your own souls. We shall not associate ourselves with your kind.?

Cascabel erupted in laughter.

Veii looked at his companions to the left and right of him in an effort to gauge their thoughts. He appeared uneasy. Cascabel?s laughter slowed as he fixed his gaze upon his audience, piercing their resolve, each in turn. ?Fools, have you not hear a word I said? No matter, it will soon become apparent. ?He turns his face to all who seek to sculpt their environment rather than simply accept it.? Ignore those words at your peril. We set forth to engage the enemy in the Valley of Kadrin. Those who wish to join are welcome to do so.?

With that he raised his purple gloved hand for all to see. He lowered his arm and opened his palm. In it was a single gold coin with a blood red crown embossed on it. He tossed it at Veii?s feet. The significance was lost on almost everyone.

The Councilman of Ebonlore turned and climbed the dais as he made his way to the flight master. Triffle, the Witch Elf, fell in step alongside him. ?That went well. Where to now, zealot?? she asked.

?We make haste to the Dwarven realm, Mistress of Khaine. I must confer with Axem regarding this...reception.? He mounted the wyvern and secured his pack to the saddle. ?Something tells me however, our endeavors will be all the rhetoric we need. The quality of soldiers we require will heed that before anything else...?

Alright, I am on business in Hawaii atm and waiting for my wife to fly in today. She has my HD so I can clear up space for the extra OS and Aion. Once that's done, I'll get installed and rolling. If I'm not in by beta I'll definitely be in by release. Who do I interview with to get re-Membered? (pun intended!)
